These features accentuate the balance and delivery of power from the XL gearing, anodized machined-aluminum spool, and multi-disc Carbonite drag system. Cortez reels are built with graphite components for a feather-light feel and balance, while increasing corrosion resistance. From the beach, pier, jetty, or the deck of a sportfisher, Okuma Cortez reels are perfect for lures or live bait with casting governed by an externally adjustable magnetic cast control system.
